IJG Urban Advisors looks beyond conventional wisdom and expected outcomes to develop innovative strategies that address persistent social and economic challenges. By combining the rigor and objectivity of academic research with the urgency of real-world policy-making, IJG delivers timely, actionable insights that inform and influence housing, community development, and investment decisions.

Ira Goldstein, Ph.D., founder and principal of IJG Urban Advisors, has dedicated his life's work to using objective, rigorously analyzed data to answer complex housing and community development questions and improve the lives and livelihoods of communities across the nation.

That approach began during his service at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development from 1991 to 1999, where he led civil rights investigations and gathered the evidence necessary to determine whether housing discrimination had occurred. Since joining Reinvestment Fund in 1999, he built and led a nationally recognized team of researchers dedicated to advancing data-driven solutions for housing and community development.

Ira has earned a reputation as a trusted advisor to investors, philanthropic organizations, and elected and appointed government leaders. They turn to him for objective analysis, strategic guidance, and data-driven insights to maximize the impact of investments in housing, community development, and neighborhood revitalization.

IJG Urban Advisors helps you tackle complex challenges, develop creative solutions, and measure meaningful impact.
